WAVES Film Bazaar & International Film Festival of India in collaboration with LTIMindtree to launch the first-ever AI Film Festival and Hackathon as part of the 56th edition of IFFI, scheduled to be held in Goa, India, from November 20–28, 2025.
The AI Film Hackathon 2025, hosted under the Waves Film Bazaar at IFFI Goa, celebrates the convergence of art, technology, and ethics in filmmaking. This initiative invites creators from around the world to explore the limitless potential of Artificial Intelligence in storytelling — while upholding responsibility, transparency, and creative authenticity. Participants are encouraged to experiment, innovate, and redefine cinematic expression using AI-driven tools for video generation, scripting, and production.
The CinemAI Hackathon is a two-stage creative technology challenge Completely conducted Online. Interested participants (individuals or a team of not more than 5 members) are required to fill in their details and submit a previously created AI based content (2-10 mins)
Out of the submissions, 10 teams will be shortlisted by a panel of experts to participate in the CinemAI Hackathon by a panel of experts to participate in the CinemAl Hackathon. The shortlisted teams have been intimated over email..
The shortlisted team will conceptualize, produce, and edit a short film (1 to 2 minutes) entirely with AI around a theme revealed at the start of the event on Nov-20th and submit the film within 48 hours. The winners will be announced on 24th Nov 2025.
